Clearwing Systems Integration completed an audio install in Routine Field at Ballpark Commons. Due to the design of the structures, a combination of point source and distributed audio systems were required to provide complete coverage of the audience areas, while minimizing the spill of audio onto the field.

To ensure the main public address system yielded the desired outcome, the system was designed using L-Acoustics’ X series loudspeakers and EAW QX long throw loudspeakers. The main PA provides an SPL range of 10dbA for all seated audience areas and 20 dbA across the entire system. A QSC Q-Sys 510i Digital Signal Processor utilizing Dante digital audio networking facilitates the routing and mixing of audio signals throughout the property. Input activation, preset selection, and volume levels are all controlled through touchscreens.

A four channel Shure ULX-D wireless microphone system consisting of two handheld microphones, a body-worn lavalier microphone, and a wireless gooseneck announcer microphone provide vocal inputs to the system. Separate inputs are provided for OFE keyboard/organ, music foreground/background, an OFE sound effects playback unit, and an auxiliary input for an OFE messaging system.
