From rendering to reality - Childhelp’s annual fundraising gala

On Saturday, January 14, 2017, the 13th annual Childhelp Drive the Dream Gala took place at the Arizona Biltmore Resort. The fundraising event supports the Phoenix-based non-profit’s mission to prevent and treat child abuse.
Clearwing Productions was honored to provide all production for the event, including audio, video, lighting, and staging. Clearwing managed all details related to production from scheduling to hiring all lead techs and stagehands (a total of 28 crew members for 3 days). Additionally, we coordinated logistics and scheduling with the hotel, and all backline and audio needs with the entertainment, which included CeeLo Green, The Temptations, Peter Cetera, The London Essentials, and the Montreal Rhapsody Orchestra.

As Co-Production Manager of the event, Robert Kovach provided art direction for items such as screen, stage, and pipe and drape layout. The client presented a general overview of their ideas for the event, and Kovach refined the details and created CAD renderings and artistic concept drawings that would fulfill the client’s vision within their budget. The theme was a “‘Journey to Oz’ celebrating the heart, mind and courage of the children and families Childhelp serves.”
