Clearwing Systems Integration completed a new auditorium at Sierra Linda High School for ADM Group, and McCarthy Building. Installation included Audio, Video, Lighting, Motorized Rigging, and Stage Drapery.
This is one of two new auditoriums for the growing Tolleson Union High School District. Both boast the latest technology including full LED lighting, ETC motorized rigging, digital lighting and audio performance systems, video infrastructure, IFR stage drapes and the latest L-Acoustics speakers, the A Series.
The architect, ADM Group, wanted to have good, even coverage to support the needs of the space but not encroach on the proscenium opening, or the look of the frame. Clearwing was able to design the speakers high and wide enough to keep the array hangs out of the proscenium and away from the throw of the stage lights from the catwalk. The adjustable horizontal dispersion of the new A Series made that configuration possible. The series also has an affordable price point and an array weight less than 500 pounds per side. Each array is comprised of two KS21 subwoofers, one A15 Focus and two A15 Wide boxes hung from a single bumper. To support the down center seating area, seven 5XT speakers were tucked into small openings in the front stage wall.
All L’ Acoustics speakers were powered through four LA4X amplifiers located near front of house in a full sized Middle Atlantic equipment rack. Further system control was programmed through Q-SYS with touch screens conventionally located in the Lobby, Front of House, and on Stage.
Touch screens take control of the motorized projection screen, Barco rear projector, all the audio in back of house, the lobby and auditorium including AutoMix features for system control without the console.
